The Intel 4001 is a support chip for the 4004 microprocessor. The 4004 is the world's first microprocessor. This chip, plus the 4002 RAM chip and 4003 shift register chip, comprised the complete MCS-4 family. The 4001 is a 2048 bit Read Only Memory (ROM) chip. |
